I am a private consultant perinatal psychiatrist. I have been providing care and treatment for women with mental health problems in pregnancy and after birth for over 20 years. I can help you plan the care you need during and after pregnancy, including making decisions about using medication. This will help you stay well and enjoy your baby.

The “perinatal period” refers to the time from when a woman starts to plan a pregnancy, the pregnancy itself, the birth and the first year after your baby is born.
I offer assessment and treatment for women aged 18 and over with a range of mental health problems in the perinatal period and beyond. I also see women who are currently well but who have had a previous severe mental illness and want to make a plan to ensure they stay as well as possible in pregnancy and after birth.
